Kenyan Javelin Champion Julius Yego Coming to Niedersachsen

If you love Javelin, then you better not miss this. 

Kenyan Javelin Champion, Julius Yego, also known as the Youtube Man, is expected in Rehlingen, a small town in Niedersachsen. He will be participating in the 52nd International Pentecostal Sports Festival (Pfingstsportfest) in Rehlingen on Monday, May 16th.

Sport fans and Javelining enthusiasts can look forward to a spectacular show during the annual Rehlinger Sports Festival. Previous participants in male Javelin competition have indicated that, this will be the most attractive sporting activity to be held at the Bungert Stadium.

Yego who is the current Javelin world champion and the third best javelin thrower of all time has already confirmed his participation in the event. He will duel out with the German World Cup participant Andreas Hofmann (MTG Mannheim), Johannes Vetter (LG Offenburg) and Lars Hamann (Dresdner SC 1898) and the U23 European Champion Kacper Oleszuk from Poland.

All ten participants have a stunning record of making over 82 meters’ mark in Javelin throws.

The Rehlingen Pentecostal Competition is seen as the most important athletics sports festival in northwest Germany, and is held as usual on Whit Monday (Pfingstmontag).

The event kicks off with children and youth sports, followed by adult athletics and other track related events. More than 30 countries are expected to participate in the attractive sporting activity.
