Accountant needed at the Embassy in Berlin

The Embassy of the Republicof Kenya in Berlin intends to recruit an individual to serve in the following position at the Embassy.

ACCOUNTS CLERK 

Key duties and responsibilities:

1.      Preparation of  payment and  receipt vouchers

2.      Preparation of expenditure returns& pending bills

3.      Preparation of imprest returns & bank reconciliation statements

4.      Preparation of bank transfers for payments

5.      Numbering of payment and receipt vouchers in a register

The candidate should have the following:

  •     Possess a Higher Diploma and above
  •     Professional qualifications – CPA 1 or its equivalent.
  •     Fluent in English and German Languages
  •     Experience in accounting work either in other Embassies, the UN agencies, or other medium sized to large companies or organizations in Germany or elsewhere.
  •     Computer literate in Excel and Word.
  •     Secretarial (typing) knowledge.
