German Cosmetic Company Enters Kenyan Market

ADA Cosmetics International

German cosmetics company, ADA Cosmetics International has finally taken the leap of faith to enter the Kenyan company by contracting a Kenyan firm to be the sole distributor of its hotel beauty and bathroom products in East Africa.

ADA manufactures and supplies a wide range of products including soap dispensers, shampoos, shower gels and body lotions for hotels and spas. ADA offers personalised products including Bvlgari and Chopard among other brands.

Clique Limited, a Kenyan firm specialising in supplying the hospitality industry, last week said it has signed the distribution deal as part of its strategy of expanding in the regional market.

“We expect the partnership to continue for long as we broaden our operations across the region,” said Clique managing director Sudhir Shah.Bvlgari Choppard

“Market dynamics in the hospitality industry across the region have really grown and new investors are coming in to tap on the emerging opportunities at the same time promoting home-grown entrepreneurs,” he said.

Kenya has of late attracted global cosmetic giants buoyed by rising demand for beauty products.

ADA Cosmetics International joins a long list of German companies that recently decided to enter the Kenyan market including: BASF, Merck, Allianz Insurance, Mövenpick, Bosch, B. Braun Medical Inc., Thyssen Aufzüge and Liebherr
