A young Kenyan man this week passed away following an accident that occurred earlier this month.
On the morning of Saturday 8th October at 1:37am, the Tram 9 from Darmstadt was driving through the Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße towards Griesheim when it got to the Freiligrathstraße it hit an obstacle. On closer inspection, the tram driver found it was the body of a young Kenyan man who lay across the tram rails.
How did he get there? Was he there when the tram got there? Did he fall as he tried to cross the street? These and many more questions remain unanswered as by the time the police arrived all the passengers who had been in the tram had left the scene. The police are still looking for witnesses, so if you were there that night please call the numbers 06155/8385-0 or 06151/9693710.
