Kenyan Student Wins DAAD Award for International Students 2014

Sydney Odhiambo

You most probably know him from the last post on Working as a HiWi at the Uni, or as an official at OKSH or for his general involvement in student activities in Hessen. Wherever you know him from, I’m sure you do agree that he is a great role model.

Sydney Odhiambo, an Electrical and Information Technology Bachelor student at the TU Darmstadt is this year’s recipient of the DAAD Award for International Students 2014.

He is also currently the Chairman of Organisation for Kenyan students in Hessen (Organisation kenianischer Studierender Hessen e.V OKSH), he took over from Steve Odhiambo who was their first chairman. (Remember him (Steve) from: Kenyan Wins Best App in Europe).

Sydney is not only involved in school but also in volunteer work within the community and also as a member of the OKSH e.V.
