The German Business Association on Saturday had Amina Mohammed grace their luncheon as the guest of honour.
The event that was held in Nairobi was graced by H.E. the Cabinet Secretary, Amina Mohammed and the German Ambassador to Kenya, Andreas Peschke.
Mrs Mohammed highlighted the excellent business relations between Kenya and Germany. She was very optimistic that both countries could work together in order to overcome any challenges for economic activity.
Moreover, the Foreign Minister expressed her high respect for the German industry and encouraged German companies to invest in Kenya to create even more jobs in the country.
German Ambassador Andreas Peschke affirmed that business is a central part of relations between Kenya and Germany. Several important German companies like Bosch or KHS have opened their regional offices in Kenya this year. Amina Mohammed’s visit to Germany recently also demonstrates the will to further strengthen economic cooperation between both countries for mutual benefit.
Founded 26 years ago, the German Business Association (GBA) in Kenya today comprises 96 companies which directly create approximately 3800 jobs for Kenyans. Aside from the GBA, the Delegation of the German Industry is also represented in Nairobi to assists German companies, especially in the field of renewable energies.
