From her brief biography on her site, she describes herself as a Kenyan with a Swiss Passport, a migrant, house wife, mother, designer, musician, artist, dedicated power and self-made woman always on the search for opportunities.
That’s Claudia Piller Okoth for you. A lady who wears numerous hats and is great at each one of her activities. Not only is Claudia a creative but also an entrepreneur having started her own cleaning company in Buchs named, “Zauberbesen” (magic broom).
Together with her business partner Jeanette Schmid-Akabuilo, they will be having an exhibition dubbed, “grenzüberschreitend”(crossing borders) in Lenzburg. The exhibition aims at showing us that although different cultures and countries are very different, they’re all very similar.
Claudia as a Kenyan in Switzerland brings in her experiences through her artwork while Jeanette shows art from the perspective of a Swiss married to a west African.
The exhibition runs from 8th-10th November at the Müllerhaus Bleicherain 7, 5600 Lenzburg
