AFRIKA KOMMT!!! Exchange Program for African Professionals

Afrika Kommt is an initiative by the German government and the private sector that allows professionals from Africa to come to Germany and work at some of the big firms here for a year while undergoing training then afterwards decide whether to stay or move back home. Of course you are encouraged to go back home and transfer that knowledge you got here to help advance your home country.

Qualifications:

• University degree in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, chemical or industrial, Economics, Business Administration, and Banking, Communication/Media, HR, Law, Sales, Marketing, Pharmacy.
• A postgraduate Degree (MBA) is an advantage,
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience
• excellent English language skills,
• Intercultural competencies, openness to new experiences abroad and willingness to learn German.

• Roundtrip airfare to and from Germany, travel and accommodation in Germany
• Fees for German language courses
• Living allowance
• Coverage of health insurance, accident insurance and liability insurance
• International Management Training (IMT) courses

•  become acquainted with the functioning of and working processes in German enterprises
•  know the potentials of the German economy and are capable of estimating the potentials of cooperation with their home countries
•  broaden their know-how and management competencies and are able to initiate and implement change processes
• reflect working and living conditions in their home countries based on the experiences in Germany
• contribute to mutual learning processes between Germans and themselves
• establish a network of cooperation partners for German companies in their home countries
• General EntranceQualifications
• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering and Banking, Communication/Media, HR, Law, Sales, Marketing; Postgraduate Degree (MBA) is an advantage
• Usually 2-5 years of relevant work experience
• Excellent English language skills
• Preferably basic knowledge of the German language
• Not older than 35 years and physically fit
• Female candidates are welcome
