Auma Obama Awarded the Hans Rosenthal Honorary Prize 2019

Auma Obama, was last week awarded the Hans Rosenthal Honorary Prize in Landau for her work with the Sauti Kuu Foundation.

The award is named in honour of Hans Rosenthal, a German radio and TV host that was popular in the 1970s and 1980s. It was introduced in 2003 by the Hans Rosenthal Foundation and comes with a 10,000 euro award for the honoree.

The prize that is awarded annually has a 13-member jury which includes former Prime Minister Kurt Beck (SPD) from Rhineland-Palatinate, SWR director Peter Boudgoust and editor-in-chief of the “Rheinpfalz” Michael Garthe, that help pick the winner.
