A Kenyan research student in Leipzig drowned over the weekend.
Joshua K’Oduka, who moved to Germany a month ago and was currently attending language courses at the Uni Leipzig is said to have drowned at a lake in the Eastern German city.
This was Joshua’s second trip to Germany having been here in 2013 for an internship at the University of Heidelberg. A Maseno University graduate, Joshua was a well known researcher in the field of medical entomology and parasitology focusing on Malaria, having even worked at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) in the same field.
He leaves behind his mother, Benta K’Oduka, a wife, Debbie K’Oduka, a 3 year old daughter, Miky and a brother, Kevin K’Oduka.
