Germany has the oldest population of Engineers in the whole of Europe.
You could blame this on the demographics, but the fact that over 50% of students in Germany who sign up for Engineering drop-out of University before graduation, could also be influencing the fact.
In Germany 21% of the engineers are aged above 55, a stark difference to Ireland with only 8%. In Poland 42% are below 34, in Germany only 18%.
