CIM Offering Return Possibilities to Kenyan Professionals in Germany

CIM Returning Professionals

The German organisation, Centre for International Migration and Development, (Centrum für Internationale Migration und Entwicklung, CIM), has added Kenya back to their list of countries they are supporting this year.

Although the program is dubbed Returning Professionals (Ruckkehrende Fachkräfte), it doesn’t only target those who want to return now, but gives you the opportunity to understand the opportunities available in case you decide to return.

For those who eventually do decide to take up the offer from CIM and decide to return, then CIM organises seminars for you here, helps you secure a job with at least 2 years contract and in case you don’t earn as much as you did at your job here, they pay the difference. (Or at least this is how it worked when they took the last batch of Kenyans in 2009.)

Interested in checking it out?

They will be having an event on the 10th-14th of April in Bonn specifically for Kenyans and Nigerians.

Date: 10th – 14th April 2015

Venue: (To be confirmed to short listed applicants ONLY!)

Travel costs (with the DB, all trains incl. IC/ICE in the second class) will be completely refunded. Accommodation and meals will be also fully covered by CIM. Child care at the location will not be offered.

Topics to be discussed at the event:

  • Returning home or staying in Germany?
  • What are the procedures to follow, if I plan to stay in Germany?
  • What to consider regarding the residence law?
  • What to do after studying?
  • What to have in mind when returning?
  • What kind of support can the Service for Returning Experts offer me? Return to my country of origin or work in Germany?

The seminars will be held interactively and will contain presentations, workshops and, in particular, individual consultation as well as time for networking between the participants.

Registration for the event:

If you are interested, send us your application to return@cimonline.de. Please use as reference the following keyword “Seminar [city, where the seminar takes place]/[your home country]“ – e.g.: „Seminar Bonn/Kenya“.

To process your registration, we shall need the following information/document:
