Info-Event for Kenyan Students and Professionals Interested in Returning to Kenya

Are you originally from Kenya, currently living in Germany and faced with the decision on whether to return to your home country after your studies or a period of employment? We would like to help you make your choice by giving you a wide range of information and the chance to swap ideas and network with like-minded people.

This year once again at the Centre for International Migration and Development (CIM) we are inviting students, graduates and professionals from Ethiopia and Kenya to attend our country seminar. The event is aimed at anyone who would like to find out more about the various opportunities of returning to their country of origin and making a contribution to development of the country.

What comes next after studying? Return to my country of origin or work in Germany? Under what conditions am I able to work in Germany, and what does German right of residence offer? What is the application procedure in Germany like? Can I also be involved in the development of my country of origin if I stay in Germany? What do I need to bear in mind if I return home, and what assistance does CIM provide? These are some of the questions that we will be addressing at the seminar.

Together with our CIM coordinators from Ethiopia and Kenya we will provide you with country-specific information about the local labour market and career options in your country of origin, but also about employment opportunities in Germany. At the same time the event will give you the chance to share ideas and network with other participants.
