A Kenyan man was attacked and robbed on Friday morning in Brandenburg, in what is believed to have been a racial attack.

The 32 year old Kenyan asylum seeker appeared at the police station in Senftenberg at 1am on Friday morning claiming to have been attacked.

According to the man’s statement, the attackers had found the man at the gas station in Laugkfeld. The attackers made racial insults against the man due to his origin before they asked for money from him. When he appeared unwilling to give them money, they decided to beat him. The attackers were able to take the man’s money before running away towards a nearby restaurant.

How many perpetrators were there, what they looked like or what they were wearing that morning, was not revealed by the police statement issued to the press.

The police are investigating further and looking for any information that could help find the perpetrators.
