Ever wondered what qualification will place you strategically in the German job market?
A new study shows that most companies will prefer an employee with a doctorate one with a bachelor’s degree and even fewer will pick one with no qualifications.
Looking at the number of people employed in 2013, in Eastern and Western Germany, for the hand workers, those with the “Meister” (Master) qualification were employed most. For the degree holders doctorate holders were the favourites in Western Germany while in Eastern Germany the bachelor degree holders were more popular.
Interestingly, the salaries also seem to drop with lower qualifications. It seems in Germany, education actually really pays 😉
