June is fewer laws coming into effect, maybe it’s in celebration of the end of the first half of the year.[toc]
Shipping costs for “rejected” items bought online
From 13th June, online shoppers will have to pay for sending back items unless the seller decides to pay for it. Online sellers will no longer have to pay for the item to be sent back to them.
Baur, Bonprix, Heine, Mytoys, Otto and Sportscheck will continue to pay the shipping costs to and fro.
Sending back items
Shoppers will only be allowed to send back items within the first 14days since buying and they have to send in a written explanation to why they sent back the items.
Companies that produce more than 2 tonnes of toxic waster or more than 20 tonnes non toxic waste, have to register at Landesamt für Umwelt- und Arbeitsschutz (LUA) by 30th June 2014. The registration is valid for a year.
