Germany Ranks Badly in the Global Talent Competitiveness Index

Global Talent Competitiveness Index

INSEAD, in partnership with Singapore’s Human Capital Leadership Institute and Adecco, has created the first ranking of 103 countries on their ability to attract and incubate talent.

The Global Talent Competitiveness Index, ranks how well a country nurtures and grows talent. In the world, Germany rankes 16th and in Europe it ranked 12th. Switzerland and Singapore seem to be the best countries to be in if you have talent because it will definitely be nurtured and encouraged.

The ranking looks at what the government/society puts in, namely:

  • the political, economic and legal conditions
  • talent scouting
  • talent nurturing
  • talent maintenance

and what government/society puts out namely:

  • career opportunities
  • management and innovation competencies
