The German Embassy in Nairobi issued a statement to potential au pairs and au pair agents. The Embassy which has noticed an increase in the number of fake documents being handed in by au pair agents for their au pairs, has urged potential Au pairs to only use reputable agencies (if they must).

The Embassy is noticing an increase in counterfeited documents that are required for an au pair visa. Au pair visa applicants are therefore encouraged to deal only with reputable and serious au pair agencies. The presentation of fake documents shall always be charged to the applicant regardless of responsibility. Information on the documents to be submitted can be found on our website:
