Gladys Mwachiti, whom most of us know from the popular tv show X-Factor will be performing in Köln this month.
Gladys was born in Kenya and raised in Munich. She wrote her first song at 15 but her big break in 2004 when she met David Lee Brewer, a former vocal coach to Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child. She discovered she could turn her passion for music into a full time job and decided to do an Ausbildung (apprenticeship) under her mentor’s watch. Her mentor helped her get shows with the Berliner Philharmonie and the Berliner Ärtzeorchestra where she got to perfect her skills.
She became a household name last year when she featured on the X-Factor show but although she didn’t win, she won many hearts and has been working a lot to ensure we don’t forget her.
