A Musical About Mitumba in Köln and Düsseldorf

We all know what Mitumba is, and now they have a play/musical about it that premiers in Köln tomorrow. Further details on the synopsis, venues and times below:

Using a typical African flea market, the makers of „Mitumba“, choreographers and dancers from Europe and East Africa combine contemporary dance with music and drama. „Mitumba“ uses the circulation of second hand clothing as a starting point for its artistic work and at the same time as a methaphor, to protest the mechanisms of the neoliberal market. In the form of an interactive happening, „Mitumba“ asks how mobility and a constantly changing society affects the artistic practice.
„Mitumba“ is a supported project of the Academy of the Arts of the World.
