Tuesday saw the new 10 euro note come into circulation.
Last year the new 5 euro was introduced. This is aimed at reducing the amount of fake money circulating within the EU. According to authorities, these new notes are harder to falsify.
There is the fear in the general public that the new 10 euro note might encounter the same issues the 5 euro note had with payment machines. However, the EZB promised there would be no mix ups.
The introduction of the new notes is set to continue for each denomination.
