Hohen Arsenal hosted the seventh Africa Day a few days ago, with over 30 stands about and on Africa.
Among the stands was a Kenyan stand owned by Josephine Ebert, a Kenyan from Nürnberg representing her two homes; Kenya and Bayern. Dressed in a dirndl, she stood majestically as she sold the Kenyan artefacts.
Also on display were Zimbabwean structures made of wire; Ghanaian bamboo bicycles and fashion from across the continent. There were also stands offering food from Africa.
Money collected from the event is to help a children’s home in South Africa.
I love her dirndl, looks very cute. *wink.
