Youth Employment Scheme Abroad (YESA) – Empowering Kenyan youth to better live their dreams, aspirations and goals.

The Youth Enterprise development Fund runs Youth Employment Scheme Abroad (YESA).

YESA funds and facilitates youth (people aged between 18 and 35) whose skills are not currently employed locally but required abroad to get jobs abroad through a partnership with private employment recruitment agencies accredited by Ministry of Labour.

Young people who access jobs abroad either through the engaged employment agencies or through the government machinery are facilitated to acquire necessary documentations and loans to cater for minimal travel requirements. The beneficially youths are required to repay loans accessed once they take up employment.

How it works

  1. Applicants submits CV either to recruitment agency through YESA offices or directly to the potential employer.
  2. The CV is sent to the potential employers who picks the candidates and organises interviews that are conducted in Kenya. The potential employer flies to Kenya to carry out interviews with help from the Immigration Department.
  3. After the interview, the successful applicant is funded to acquire the required travel documents and travel to their new job destination
  4. When the new employee leaves the country and starts the new job, they can now start repaying the loan.
