According to the Standard Digital, Eric Omondi has come out to share his experience in Germany and even termed some of the experiences with the fans as “Nasty”. Apparently some of fans mobbed him on the stage and had to be removed by security to allow him to tell his jokes. He said the experience was so shocking, he forgot his jokes.
“They suddenly went crazy and started doing things that left me wondering whether I was dreaming. I ran out of words and my jokes dried up,” said a rather disturbed Eric.
“Some of them even joined me on stage and had to be brought down by security. I guess that was their special way of showing their appreciation. They probably just missed Kenyan men since most of the audience was made up of Kenyans living abroad,” Eric told the Standard Digital.
Unfortunately, it seems we never learn. Yaani Usiku wa Mkenya is out trying to host comedians and all we do is embarrass them. It was worse when Churchill came, if we keep doing this to comedians do you think they will agree to be doing shows in Germany?
Albeit the mishap, the show did go on without hitches from the videos released by the organisers and from Eric’s feature of his time in Germany, during the Churchill Season 3 Episode 14, watch below.
