Discrimination Encourages Poverty, Violence and Crime

A recent study from the University of Duisburg-Essen has come out condemning discrimination citing it as the main reason why many foreigners refuse to integrate into the German society. The study found out that many foreigners or children to foreigners born in Germany continue to be discriminated despite integrating.

According to the study, discrimination tends to make foreigners  re-ethnize and return to some of the fundamentals from their home country’s cultures, some of which are not practiced in their home countries anymore. The foreigners tend to form small ethnic groups and isolate themselves from the host country’s culture. It also found that people who are discriminated against tend to be more violent.

The study discourages discriminiation especially in the work force as this will reduce poverty, violence and crime in the immigrant groups.
