Rent prices in the 50 Most Expensive Cities in Germany

One of the factors of choosing a University (Criteria people use when choosing a Uni) or where to live in Germany is the cost of living in that city.  This will also factor in whether or not the AB is flexible with the €7K they require in your account. In cheaper towns they can allow less while in more expensive cities they might require even more than the €7K which is usually a problem for most students anyway. If you’ve never been to Germany it might be hard to know which cities are cheaper than others, here is a list on the rent prices in the 50 most expensive cities in Germany as of end of 2012.
I should also inform you that in Germany the rent is calculated per squared meter (m²) and not per number of rooms as we do in Nairobi (and many other parts of the world). I should also include that German homes come without a lighting fixtures nor cabinets or a sink in the kitchen and for some you might have to do the painting yourself before you move in.
