Internationale Jugendfreiwilligendienst (IJFD) is a new form of volunteering just like BFD and FSJ/FÖJ, also run by the Ministry of Families, Seniors, Women and Youth. It started in 2012 and is aimed at young people willing to volunteer outside of Germany.
What you need to know:
- Age limit 27years
- Duration 6 -18months
- Participant needs to attend atleast 25 of the offered seminars before and after taking part in the program
- The participant receives pocket money from the organization they apply to
- Accomodation, working clothes and equipment and travelling costs will be paid by the org
